The present is an ever-evolving concept, constantly redefined by an aggregate of our perpetually shifting perceptions. Where we are now is no different from where we have ever been, yet seems disparate when refracted through the lens of time-passed. But if this current moment ever-evolving is the only constant (i.e. the only constant is inconsistency) then what we are left with as endeavors are none other than those which change the present into something more desirable — ideally, for all. There is nothing that divides the individuals, only an imperceptible matter which creates a flawed illusion of division. And in an unending moment, there is an unending matter (i.e. we are us, the same). In an unceasing effort to perfect the perpetually imperfect, we must give alms to see to that which is lacking in the present, which is the wanting fragments of us, the same, so that consistency can be everpresent.
